FaithWorks

www.faithworks.com

Basic History
FaithWorks is a lifestyle magazine for Christians committed to engaging a post-Christian, postmodern culture. Society is witnessing historic faith shifts--most notably the weakening of traditional denominationalism, the rise of postmodernity as the prevailing worldview, a resurgence of spirituality, and the empowerment of the laity within many faiths. FaithWorks helps lay Christians navigate those cultural transitions. The magazine field offers few if any general-interest publications that are intended for centrist young-adult Christians. FaithWorks targets this audience with sensible approach to applied faith.

Basic Beliefs
FaithWorks' goal is to help contemporary Christians integrate their faith and life and is committed to responsible journalism for a mainstream Christian audience with an emphasis on applied faith, not theological inquiry, political activism or denominational advocacy. Their intent is not to create a Christian subculture but to engage a post-Christian culture with the following core values:

  • Real life - to be culturally relevant. FaithWorks promotes dialogue between Christians and the post-modern, post-denominational culture.
  • Real faith - to integrate faith and life. FaithWorks helps Christians discover how a relationship with God shapes a response to real-life issues.
  • Real people - to be the believer's advocate. FaithWorks values authenticity, helping transformed people live transparent lives.
