Basic History
Founded in 1929, Religion Communicators Council (RCC) provided opportunities for religion communicators to learn from one another. From the beginnings of telephone chains, posters, and announcements in Sunday bulletins, the question of how to go about “spreading the word” was the same, but the answers changed. RCC now provides information about every aspect of communication from developing a mission statement to choosing the appropriate media for a particular message, including instructions on editing, news writing, feature writing, art and graphics, desktop publishing, electronic presentations, and much more.
