One doesn't need to go further than broadcast TV and programs such as "Queer Eye for the Straight Guy," "E.R." or "Will & Grace," to realize that homosexuality is no longer a topic kept in the closet.
It's no different in our places of worship, where the issues of openly gay, non-celibate clergy, same-sex marriage and civil unions are being debated and contested.
